Haleh Moddasser's love of art and fascination with the
human form dates back to her early experiences as a
child, traveling extensively throughout Europe and the
Middle East. During these years, Haleh came to understand
at a deep level that people of different cultures
are profoundly similar at their core, despite their varying
customs and geographic origins. It is Haleh's
fascination with this collective human consciousness that
informs her paintings.
Having studied at the Florence Academy of Art, the School
of Visual Arts in New York and with contemporary
artists Dan Gerhartz and Robert Liberace, her major
artistic influences include Joaquín Sorrolla, Antonio
Mancini and John Singer Sargent.
Haleh paints exclusively in oils. Her painterly
technique and her use of color culminate in fine
art pieces evoking energy and movement.
Haleh was born in Blackburn, England of Iranian
parents. She was raised in North Carolina where
she continues to live and work as a painter and fine
art instructor.
